Hello there,
I want to share with you my first notes for the introduction, also to help the remain members to begin their missions,
*******************
*******************
- Is spanking the best way to discipline children?
- People have different conflicting values when it deals with spanking their children, Some believe paddling is a form of abuse while others think it is a form of discipline.
- The most important thing is for the children to respect you not only as their parent but also as a person that they can count on whenever they need to.
- Unfortunately the only thing that physical punishment teaches a child is that violence is an acceptable way of solving a problem. Some children soon get used to the physical punishment and it means nothing to them. Other children may rebel and act out against this harsh treatment. Sometimes parents cause serious physical and emotional damage to their children when they use corporal punishment.
- As an adult, just imagine how you would feel if someone tried to correct your behaviour by hitting you! Don't you think your child has feelings just like you do?

ReplyDeleteExcellent Elaf! That's a superb introduction. It shows the line of argument clearly (esp. the thesis statement). The plan is very good as well but you need to write shorter sentences or key words/phrases rather than long ones.
A multi-year study shows that spanking kids makes them more aggressive later on.
(Try to replace kids with children, it is more academic!)
My pleasure Ms,Eithar,
